A heavyweight .177 JSB Knock Slug, extremely favorable Ballistic Coefficient of 0.066, ensuring a flat trajectory and excellent energy retention at 13.43 gr with a body diameter of 4.52 mm. A distinct hollow point, manufactured in the soft lead JSB is renowned for, designed with a well recessed base, producing wicked terminal expansion and penetration on impact, highly accurate. Now us .177 PCP shooters can shoot a decent weight slug too!
In my Pallas Force Mega .177 (also a superb rifle I purchased from Pellet-guns.com) they are grouping inside a 10c coin (10 shots) sized group at 20 meters on max power setting. Lower power settings did not fare as well, but still well within an inch down to mid power setting.
A pest pigeon that I had to shoot with this slug at that same distance was completely pole-axed, not even a twitch. For pest control and small game, this slug is a winner. I am sure .22 slugs hit harder, but at this price and accuracy, this is the business in .177!
Beautiful expansion in water as well.
