The 2240 refers to .22 caliber and the 40 the number of shots you can expect from one 12 gram CO2 cylinder. Search the internet and you will find the 2240 is also available in highly modified and tuned forms. All I can say is this is gun a cult. Are you in line to find out why? a Pleasant surprise!

First thing first... one does not buy this " toy" to complain about its packaging 🤷‍♂️
It's the perfect plinking toy , and I am really pleased & surprised how accurate and the amount of power it has !!

I was shocked at the presentation packaging. It was truly awful, the same sort of packaging that comes with a set of screwdrivers. The pistol itself has an appealing appearance and strongly reminds me of the British Webley range of air pistols from half a century ago. It is robust, light, and fits my large hand perfectly. To me it has a natural point-ability. It is easy to load and when fired sounds like a .22 short rim-fire. It is powerful for a Co2 pistol and accurate. The downside is a savage trigger pull and a primitive back-sight. The trigger pull is easily remedied by polishing the mating parts of the trigger and sear, Inserting 4 brass 3mm washers to keep the trigger and sear from wobbling around and cutting one loop off the trigger spring. Result, a nice light smooth trigger.
The rear sight however, is a different story, what a pity it did not have a finger and thumb adjustable micrometer sight. I am still trying to find something to fit that is less than the price of the pistol. In the meantime I drilled out the aperture sight to 3.5mm and now that I can see through it I'm getting good groups at 10 metres.
Summary, a brilliant, accurate pistol that has stood the test of time.

The bolt that holds the rear sight down was stripped and bent; the rear sight was lifted of of the barrel. I had to get an new bolt, not easy to find the size and pitch. The aiming plate that attaches to the rear sight was stripped into the plastic...I could undo the screw with my finger tips.
The built qaulity is not on standard
